About Nea Kameni Volcano
Nea Kameni is a bare lava island formed by eruptions since the 16th century. Boats from the old port land at a jetty and a rough 30-minute walk leads up to the crater rim past steaming vents. There is no shade; hats, water and closed shoes are needed.
