About Museum of Prehistoric Thera
The Museum of Prehistoric Thera displays the pottery, frescoes, furniture casts and gold objects excavated at Akrotiri, together with finds from other early sites on the island. It is the best place to see what was recovered from the buried town, since most portable finds are not kept on site.
