About Fira Cable Car & Old Port
The cable car drops from the centre of Fira to the old port of Mesa Gialos in a few minutes, replacing the 580-step donkey path. It is the usual way down to cruise tenders and small boats for caldera and volcano trips. Queues build sharply when cruise ships are in.
