About Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
The Mandala Suci Wenara Wana, usually called the Monkey Forest, is a nature reserve and Hindu temple complex on the southern edge of Ubud. Paved paths run through tall trees past three 14th-century temples, and the forest is home to several hundred Balinese long-tailed macaques. There is an entrance fee and visitors are asked not to carry food or loose items.
