About Chania Old Venetian Harbour
The old harbour of Chania was built during Venetian rule in the 14th century. The lighthouse at the end of the mole was rebuilt in the 19th century under Egyptian administration. The harbour front and the lanes of the old town behind it form the historic centre of the city.
