About Durrës Amphitheatre
The amphitheatre of Durrës was built in the 2nd century AD and rediscovered in the 1960s under later housing. Part of the structure is excavated and open to visitors, including a small early Christian chapel with mosaics. It is a short walk from the port and the seafront.
